XAMPP and Skype conflict

After XAMPP installation, I couldn’t start Apache because Windows couldn’t bind socket to port 443 that was already in use.  I wasn’t aware of any other application using that port, so I made a fast search with Mr. Google to find out that "netstat" command exists also in Windows! I ran netstat -aon |find /i "listening", found out the incriminated pid, looked it up in Process Explorer and voilà, the culprit had finally a name: Skype. In the "Connection" tab of the Options page I found a ticked checkbox "Use port 80 and 443 as an alternative for incoming connections". After unticking it, I could start XAMPP flawlessly.

I helped ‘someone’ with the mobile’s money bug on Monday morning 0900 hours in the morning. it’s not my fault if you go on holydays in third world countries .
